Have you ever wanted to contact the CEO of a large company for sales outreach?

It’s difficult to first find their contact details, but also to get a response from them to your email.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could just find the email address or phone number of any top executive in any company that uses a specific technology?

In this article, I’m going to show you how you can find contact details of all the executives in a company that uses a particular software or tool.

There are 3 steps to the process:

  1. Find a list of target companies or accounts using a particular technology
  2. Identify relevant people in those companies
  3. Find their email addresses

Let’s begin with step 1.

Step 1: Find a list of target companies or accounts using a particular technology

Let’s say you work at a SaaS company which has a tool for marketers to manage their social media, and your pricing starts at $199 per month, and goes all the way to $999 per month.

A good way to generate leads for you might be to find companies that use a similar product to solve a similar problem.

Or maybe, your product team has built a product integration with another tool like Hubspot. And you want to find out companies that are using Hubspot.

So how’d you do that?

Here are some tools you can use to find companies using Hubspot:

1) Datanyze

Datanyze monitors over 35 million companies, their technology stack, buying signals and other business information to capture over 9000 technologies. You can filter companies by their location, number of employees, revenue, budget, etc. and export the data directly into your CRM.

Here’s an overview of Hubspot on Datanyze. There are over 71,000 websites that use Hubspot.

Datanyze is a feature-rich, but expensive tool. It might cost you $3000 a year depending upon your needs, but we recommend you to get a demo to learn more about their pricing for you.

2) Builtwith

Builtwith has a list of 38000+ tools and technologies that it monitors for over a whopping 250 million websites. It is much bigger than Datanyze and is much easier to get started.

Like Datanyze, it offers a Chrome-extension that offers quick technical insights to the tools and technologies that a website is using.

On searching for companies using Hubspot, it found a total of 711,065 websites, out of which 227,348 were live at that time.

Over 480,000 websites had used Hubspot at some point.

You can start with Builtwith for $295 a month with basic features, but I recommend using the Pro version with unlimited access for $495 a month.

3) Linkedin Sales Navigator

If you are a sales professional who does prospecting, and any sort of outreach, most likely you already have a Linkedin Sales Navigator account.

Linkedin Sales Navigator starts at $64.99 per month for Professional, and $103.33 per month for Team.

Sales Navigator has extensive filtering options that you can use to target accounts or leads. Use that option to filter through all the companies using Hubspot technology.

Here are the search results:

So once you have found the list of the companies or accounts, you can only view 25 results at a time and Sales Navigator doesn’t allow you to export them into a CSV or XLS format.

On top of that, Sales Navigator caps the search results to 40 pages, which means you can only export upto 1000 accounts at a time.

Therefore, we recommend that you add more filter criteria like Geography and/or Company headcount to reduce the size of the search to 1000 accounts.

Next time, you can choose another location to get more results… and so on.

But even if you were to look at all the 40 search pages manually, it would take you hours to gather the data if you can’t automatically export them into a CSV or XLS file.

This is where Datarosa’s Chrome extension comes in.

Using our Chrome extension, you can export all 1000 search results in a matter of seconds.

Our Chrome extension allows you to export up to 1500 accounts, but since Sales Nav caps the search results to 1000 at a time, you have to export the whole list 32 times to get all the 32K+ results.

Comparing that to adding 25 results at a time manually (which would take 1280 searches), it’s a lot more manageable to export results 32 times using the Datarosa browser extension.

Once your list is exported, it will be sent to your email address and you can download it from there.

Step 2: Identify relevant people in those companies

Now, it’s time to head over to Datarosa and search for people in these companies.

What you wanna do is click on the Bulk Tools feature on the left-side pane, and it will show you three options.

Select People option as you want to find the right targets in a company.

Next, you will be asked to upload the list of accounts that you exported from Sales Navigator using the Chrome Extension.

Once you upload that, the tool will ask you to match all the fields in your data file. You need to select and confirm the company names and country names in order to get the best results.

It’s better to add the full country names, and not the country code. So it’s write France, rather than FR or Spain rather than ES, etc.

Once you have company, country and roles mapped out, you can choose the list where the results should be added.

Then hit “Submit”

Then wait a few seconds, and your data will start flowing into the results section right in the same page. You don’t have to click to go to another page.

Once the data is out, you can select the leads using filters like Weak Low Regular Strict Strong

You can export them to XLS format for data analysis or CSV format to be added into an email sender tool.

Once you open the file, you will see that for each account, we provide 10 results or contacts that best correspond to the role you’re looking for.

And this is where it gets exciting.

Each lead has been provided with two types of scores:

  1. Role Score
  2. Company Score

Role Score:

A role score is an estimate of confidence in the role you are looking for. For example, you are looking for a Head of Sales, but a VP of Sales or Sales Director are also the roles that you might be interested in.

There can also be different Head of Sales for different regions or countries where the role score is quite useful.

A CEO of a smaller firm might use the title Founder or Owner or Director and these are all scored closer to 1, if you are looking for contact with the CEO title.

A role score identifies other roles that are similar to the one you’re looking for, and gives you an idea of other roles that you may wanna look at.

Company Score:

Let’s say you are interested in contacting the Head of Sales at Syntel, but in this data, you found a profile who works at Atos Syntel. They might be the same companies or they might not be.

Our algorithm gives a score to companies that might actually be similar to what you’re searching for.

In this case, the algorithm gave a company score of 0.75 to this contact.

Anything above 0.5 is worth giving a second thought. In this case, we did a quick google search to find out the relation between Atos Syntel and Syntel.

And we found out that Syntel was actually bought by Atos and now they’re the same company.

Our algorithm understands each company with several names and gives you a company confidence score.

Now that you have a list of 10 contacts for each target company that have profiles or titles similar to or exactly what you’re looking for, the next step is to find their email addresses.

Step 3: Find their email addresses

You can use the filtering option in your spreadsheet to sort contacts by their company score or role score, and find their email address using Datarosa’s bulk tool.

Click the Bulk Tools icon on the left-side pane, then choose Email option.

Upload your file (in .csv, .tcv, .xls or .xlsx formats) and verify the field mapping identified by the tool.

For the purpose of finding email addresses, it is sufficient to confirm mapping of Full Name and Company Name fields.

Once you do that, the tool will give you the email addresses of your list in less than 2 minutes.

You can export this file into CSV or XLSX formats as well.

There you go.

Now you have a list of contacts with their email address, for your prospecting or outreach campaigns.

If you are prospecting or outreaching for your business, Datarosa helps you with:

  1. Automated simultaneous exporting of upto 1000 accounts list from Sales Navigator,
  2. Identifying the right contacts (and similar profiles)
  3. Finding their email addresses to contact

Go ahead and give it a try.
